Gourmet chocolate and confectionery products manufacturer and retailer Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has opened a River Park Square location on the main level near the concierge desk where Godiva Chocolates used to be.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Spokane features over 300 varieties of hand made chocolates and confections. Safeguard Business Systems and Business Forms Inc merge

Rick & Diana Wilhite, long time Spokane Valley residents and owners of Safeguard Business Systems, have merged Safeguard with Business Forms Inc (BFI). The new company will be called BFISafeguard with headquarters at 301 W. Indiana, Spokane, WA. The two companies, each with strong reputations for quality personal service, expand their cost effective approach to community business support and advocacy.

In 1978, Rick began his career in the Spokane area as an Account Executive with the Coons, Shotwell advertising agency. In 1981, with the Spokane area experiencing a recession, Rick saw an opportunity to become a business owner and purchased the existing Safeguard Business Systems distributorship which had, at that time, 111 customers in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

"In the early years of owning our business", said Rick, "it wasn't unusual to put between 35,000 and 45,000 miles a year on the car driving as far north as the Canadian border and as far south as Riggins, Idaho". With a lot of hard work and a quality product, the business grew from over 111 original customers to well over 2,500 today. "We are very proud of the fact that many of those same customers are still with us today along with the hundreds of other customers we've developed over the years," said Diana.

Diana, former Mayor of the City of Spokane Valley, said that when Denny Hubbell, founder of BFI in 1987, joined the Safeguard family several months ago, Rick felt it was a great opportunity to merge two strong, solid businesses as well as begin a transition to retirement. Both Rick & Diana will remain with BFISafeguard with the goal to preserve core business relationships and maintain their solid reputation in the community.

According to BFI's General Manager, Peter Michael, BFI has also developed many long standing relationships with businesses in the Spokane area. BFI experienced much success as they built a business focused on the individual needs of each and every customer.

The newly formed BFISafeguard has the experience and resources to offer services that reduce business costs, increase efficiencies, strengthen company brands and facilitate business growth. A full team of experienced web developers have been put in place to build ecommerce websites and company stores designed to automate and simplify the client's ordering process. BFISafeguard takes pride in providing solutions in addition to quality products.

The new BFISafeguard is a full service printing distributorship supporting business communities throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. They combine technology with business printing, promotional products and corporate apparel designed to help their clients market and grow their businesses. BFISafeguard is located at: 301 W. Indiana Ave., Spokane, WA 99205 and can be contacted at: 509-838-4218, website: www.bfisafeguard.com.
