Viva SpoVegas is a good bet for fun networking



LaunchPadINW presents their biggest quarterly networking event ever "Viva SpoVegas!" at Northern Quest Resort and Casino this Thursday evening from 5 to 9 pm! Hoopfest's big economic bounce

Another Hoopfest weekend is in the books. New auto dealership for former Empire Ford location

Lithia Motors has purchased the former Empire Ford auto dealership property at Third and Stevens for $2.4 million. Guy Byrd of Cornerstone Properties and Mike Livingston of Kiemle and Hagood handled that transaction. Lithia, which owns Camp Automotive will move their Subaru dealership to that building offering sales and service. There's been a car dealership at that location for many years starting with Ernie Majer Ford, Center Ford and Empire Ford. The Camp Subaru dealership is expected to open in September.

Williams Seafood opens Wednesday at Ruby and Montgomery.

There's a new fishing spot in Spokane. This Wednesday Williams Seafood Market, a long time Spokane Valley fish and wine retailer, will open in their new location at Ruby and Montgomery. Mike Offield, who has owned the business since 2006, was a longtime customer of the store when he purchased it from Vince and Margie Perry. In addition to a wide variety of fresh seafood, the business also stocks more than 1,100 wine labels as well as a large selection of beers. Spokane wine expert, Mary Fasules has joined the company to run the wine operation. She was formerly with Spencer's for Steaks and Chops. The website is williamsseafoodmarket.com.

Pool World Grill Off is Thursday featuring media celebrities

The second annual Pool World Grill Off is this Thursday, and this year instead of chefs, TV and radio personalities from KXLY will be competing to win a new grill. The runners up will receive a $100 gift certificate from Spencer's for Steaks and Chops. Nadine Woodward and Mike Gonzales from KXLY TV grill off against Bud Nameck from KXLY AM 920. The competitors will be grilling to perfection on Weber Grills, smoking on Traeger wood pellet smokers and barbecuing on the Big Green Egg. The action is from 3 to 6 pm this Thursday at the new central store, 5701 E. Sprague near Costco.

SCORE workshop on business valuation

Kaci Medlock joins Trindera Engineering

Trindera Engineering, an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm based in Coeur d'Alene announces the hiring of Kaci Medlock as a Business Development Assistant.

NAC|Architecture announces staff promotions

Trish Buzan, Associate AIA, is technology director of NAC|Architecture and has been promoted to Senior Associate. Buzan joined NAC in 1990 as a CADD operator, later becoming the firm's CADD manager.

Brooke Hanley, AIA, LEED AP, is a project architect who joined NAC in 2005. She was promoted to Associate. Kelly Gordon, LEED AP, is an interior designer who joined NAC in 2005. He has been promoted to Associate. Kelly Waterman, LEED AP, is an electrical engineering technician at NAC and an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) He is also a new Associate of the firm.
