Inland NW Nonprofit Conference coming in February

Registration is now open for the 3rd annual Inland Northwest Nonprofit Conference, which will take place Thursday, February 7th, 2013. This 1-day educational and professional development conference is the only capacity building resource of its kind in the Inland Northwest and includes up to 11 educational workshops (including a Funders' Panel), several networking breakouts, exhibitors, and a keynote plenary presentation. Workshops cover topics such as fundraising, grant writing, marketing, sustainability, finance, and leadership.

Classes can be attended individually, or as a whole day event. Attending the entire day maximizes learning and networking opportunities.

New Gift Card Shark opens in Spokane Valley

Gift Card Shark has opened in Spokane Valley at 14109 E. Sprague Ave. The owners, Pam and Chad Orebaugh also have a Gift Card Shark in the Columbia Center Mall in the Tri-Cities and a Gift Card Shark kiosk in the Downtown Spokane Transit Plaza. They buy and sell gift cards and are opened Monday through Saturday.

Salvation Army of Spokane Holiday Fundraiser

Avista Stadium Construction continues

Improvements continue to be made at Avista Stadium. Spokane County and the Spokane Indians, in conjunction with ALSC Architects and Kilgore Construction, continue work on improvements for the 2013 season. Significant progress has been made on the following current projects:

The Team Store begins is taking shape behind the administration building; Roofing begins soon on the new concessions stand; and expansions to the administration building and Ticket Offices will help improve customer service on game days.
