D. Lish's Hamburgers has a new look and big plans

D. Lish's Hamburgers, at 1625 N Division Street, with the help of Rainmaker Creative, is revealing its refreshed identity. After nearly 15 years of business, the locally owned and operated burger restaurant's brand is as fresh as their made-to-order burgers.

Their new logo and branding is working its way to the menu signs, street signs and everything in between. The family-owned business has some other changes coming, too, like adding a new location soon, staying open late during finals week and starting a family-friendly trivia night this Spring. One thing that won't change is the fresh, not frozen, beef sourced from locally owned Angus Meats, in their made-to-order burgers or the fresh Washington grown potatoes used for their French fries. You can become a Facebook fan at www.facebook.com/Dlishshamburgers.

17th annual Spokane Guilds School Penny Drive April 27

Seven months ago, the Spokane Guilds' School Foundation (SGSF)'s 'Kids for Kids' Penny Drive fundraiser was in jeopardy due to the City of Spokane's new panhandling ordinance. Thankfully, the Spokane Guilds' School & Neuromuscular Center (SGS&NMC), its supporters and city officials were able to work together to save the penny drive, so save your loose change for the SGSF's 17th annual Community 'Kids for Kids' Penny Drive on Saturday, April 27. This is the community's opportunity to support infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities and delays at the SGS&NMC. Your change and dollars, even your pennies, can make a tremendous difference in the lives of children, birth to age three, who need an early intervention program at the SGS&NMC.

This year there will be various donation drop-off sites across town and Spokane County that will be open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. For a complete listing of sites, visit www.guildschool.org/penny-drive. To find out how you can support the SGS&NMC, contact Kori Neal at 509-326-1651 or kneal@guildschool.org.
