Jean Klundt Selected as Spokane Advertising Federation Ad Professional of the Year




Jean Klundt, managing partner and creative director at Klundt | Hosmer was named the 2013 Ad Professional of the Year at the 2014 American Advertising Federation - Spokane (AAF) ADDY Awards & Gala event held at the Davenport Hotel on March 8, 2014. The AAF Advertising Professional of the Year is an annual award recognizing one Spokane-region advertising professional for their contributions to the advertising industry and their position in the Spokane business community.

Jean was honored for her three decades of service to Spokane area companies and non-profits and for her 27-years of management at Klundt | Hosmer, a 13-person visual communication and brand development firm in Spokane.

2014 Hoopfest Registration Now Open

Celebrating 25 years, the 2014 Hoopfest Registration is open through May 5. Tournament dates are June 28 & 29. Divisions are available for youth, adult, co-ed, family, high school, wheelchair, Special Olympics, Unified in the recreation and competitive brackets as well as the elite divisions.

2014 Bighorn Outdoor Adventure Show this week

GU's Master of Accountancy Ranks No. 25 Best Specialty Business Program in Nation

Ranked by U.S. News & World Report, Gonzaga University's Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program currently has a 90 percent job placement rate within three to six months of graduation, including strong on-campus recruitment by the Big Four accounting firms and 10-15 regional accounting companies. Approximately 60 students are enrolled in Gonzaga's MAcc program, 90 percent of whom attend full time.

Specialty rankings are based solely on ratings by educators at peer schools within the Best Business Schools classifications. Gonzaga is one of only three Pacific Northwest schools to make the list.

Girl Scout Cookies Arrive In Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho Region




Thousands of Girl Scouts are getting their cookie selling strategies in place as they gear up to begin booth sales March 21 through April 13 in communities throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Through product sales, Girl Scouts earn money for troop activities which include community service, field trips to earn badges, resident and day camp and travel.

The Girl Scout cookies are $4 per box and $4.25 per box in Idaho. Booth sale cookies will be available until April 13. In this year's U.S. News and World Report rankings for law schools, published March 11, Gonzaga University School of Law is ranked 107 (tie), an increase of six spots over last year's report. The report recognizes that Gonzaga's Washington state bar passage rate for 2012 was 81 percent, 14 percentage points above the state average. This year's report also recognizes the success Gonzaga Law alumni have had in finding employment. The number of 2012 graduates employed nine months after graduation rose to 68.7 percent, a 4.9 percent increase over the previous year.

The rankings are published in U.S. News' 2015 edition of the book Best Graduate Schools and online.
