BBB's Green Eggs & Scams Workshops Sept 5 & Sept 12



Better Business Bureau of Eastern Washington, North Idaho & Montana hosts their second annual Green Eggs & Scams workshops September 5 in Coeur d'Alene and September 12 in Spokane. This senior-focused, half-day event features a free breakfast, informative vendors, great raffle prizes, and lots of resources to help seniors protect against scams, investment fraud, and identity theft.

Expert presenters, including representatives from the Washington State Attorney General's Office, Post Falls Police Department, AGP Wealth Advisors and BBB, will inform attendees about the latest scams and schemes targeting our community and provide tips and resources that people can trust. Vendors will be on hand with resources and fun raffle giveaways, and there will even be a green eggs and scams breakfast!

Green Eggs & Scams kicks off with the Coeur d'Alene workshop on September 5 at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, followed by the Spokane workshop on September 12 at the North East Community Center. Both events will have registration from 8:00-8:30 am and program from 8:30-11:30 am. With the support of AGP Wealth Advisors, BBB is hosting this event free of charge for all attendees. This event is hosted to help further a more trustworthy marketplace and empower consumers to make better buying decisions.

4th annual REVEAL product expo coming September 18

International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Inland Northwest City Center announces the 4th annual REVEAL, a product expo. This year's expo will be at the Spokane Convention Center and is an opportunity for designers, architects, contractors, end users, students, facility managers, and other essential industry members to see the latest innovations in building products and commercial furniture all in one location. It is the only product expo of its kind in the region. The all-day event will include a lunch CEU, self-guided showroom tours, student panel discussion, and an evening networking reception on the Spokane Convention Center's Roof Deck Patio overlooking Riverfront Park.

Trindera announces two new employees



Trindera Engineering, an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm with offices in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane announce the recent hiring of Florence Snow as Accounting Assistant. Ms. Snow holds a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting from Eastern Washington University. She has over 15 years of experience in accounting and billing.

Trindera also announced the hiring of Scott Dehlbom, who holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Drafting from North Idaho College. He has experience in the design and layout of structures and mechanical equipment, IT support, and AutoCAD software support. Most recently he was an Senior Mechanical Designer with FLSmidth in Spokane.

West Plains Chamber Membership Breakfast Sept 4

The West Plains Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly membership breakfast meeting on Thursday, September 4 at Northern Quest Resort and Casino, starting at 7am.

At the breakfast, members will have an opportunity to meet the local candidates for District 6 and county wide positions. Each candidate will have a display table set up for members to visit before and after the breakfast, and each candidate will be introduced during the program. Spokane SCORE Chapter 180 presents a workshop on Small Business QuickBooks Financial Management this Wednesday, August 27 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
