Associated Industries to acquire red and associates

Associated Industries of the Inland Northwest recently signed a letter of intent to acquire the human resources and business consulting firm, red and associates llc. The purchase becomes effective October 1, according to Jim DeWalt, President and CEO of Associated Industries.

The joining of red and associates with Associated Industries is not about growth for growth's sake, it has far reaching potential for members and clients, DeWalt says. "The combination of our two organizations will expand services in the areas of strategic planning, succession planning as well as business consulting to the Association's members," DeWalt said. "We have long known and respected our colleagues at red and associates, and we share common business and cultural practices. Complementary to us, they deliver the ideal mix of talent, warmth, and familiarity. It's a perfect match that will help us serve both our members and red's clients more effectively."

"Joining with Associated Industries is an ideal way to add new resources and capabilities for our clients and our employees," said Pam DeCounter, Principal, red and associates. "red and associates clients will benefit from a variety of services including employment law guidance, safety planning, affirmative action planning, health benefits administration, and more. We are looking forward to working with Associated Industries members and introducing them to our broad range of HR services and projects."

Associated Industries currently has 26 employees and red and associates has seven employees, bringing the total number of Associated Industries employees to 33 after the acquisition is complete. red and associates will relocate their offices to the Associated Industries location at 1206 N. Lincoln Street later this fall.
