Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center receives Award for Clinical Excellence

For the third year in a row, Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center has received the 2016 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence according to Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals.

Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence are hospitals rated in the top 5 percent in the nation with the lowest risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates across at least 21 of 32 common conditions and procedures. Patients treated in hospitals receiving the Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence Award have, on average, a 26.2 percent lower risk of dying than if they were treated in hospitals that did not receive the designation. If all hospitals, as a group, performed similarly to hospitals receiving this designation, on average, 160,322 lives could potentially have been saved.
