Nike Factory Store to open Thursday

The Downtown Spokane Partnership said the Nike Factory Store planned for the ground floor of the M Building, in downtown Spokane, is scheduled to open this Thursday, June 14 at 10am. The store, located at northwest corner of Main Avenue and Howard Street, will serve as a 'new hybrid Nike retail experience,' according to the DSP, offering a mix of outlet pricing and full-priced items. The first 200 customers through the door each day on Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17 will receive a $10 Nike gift card.

Celebrate the Taste of the Pacific Northwest at this year's Crave NW, a festival dedicated to food and wine in Spokane, held on Thursday through Sunday, July 12-15 at CenterPlace at Mirabeau Point Park in Spokane Valley.

Frontier Airlines announces new nonstop service to Las Vegas

Frontier Airlines has announced new nonstop service from Spokane International Airport to Las Vegas. The twice-weekly year-round service will begin on August 13, 2018.

The flight schedule is as follows:
Every Monday and Friday (year-round)
Depart Las Vegas 10:30am, arrive in Spokane 12:50pm
Depart Spokane 1:40pm, arrive in Las Vegas 4pm

Las Vegas becomes the second destination Frontier offers from Spokane, joining service to Denver that began in April. The flight will be operated with a 180-seat Airbus A320 and scheduled each Monday and Friday.

Take a Stand Against Domestic Violence with Beer & Learn, June 19

The YWCA Spokane Goodguys are Spokane men who stand with YWCA Spokane to end domestic violence in our community. Co-founders and long-time YWCA supporters, Doug Kelley of Avista and Manny Hochheimer of Numerica Credit Union, joined together with YWCA to create a collaborative effort of support called Good Guys. Doug and Manny are making a call out to Spokane men to take a stand as a Good Guy in support of YWCA Spokane and join them at this year's Women of Achievement awards celebration on Thursday, October 4 at the Davenport Grand Hotel. Sign up to sit at a Good Guy Table or take the lead as a Table Captain and fill a table of 10 men at the luncheon.

Beer & Learn - YWCA's Good Guys welcome you to learn more about this critical movement while enjoying locally crafted beer from River City Brewing on Tuesday, June 19 from 5-6pm on the outdoor patio at McKinstry, 850 E Spokane Falls Blvd, #100. The purpose is for the community to know that the region recognizes and supports YWCA Spokane's efforts to end domestic violence.

Vintage Spokane coming to the Davenport Grand Hotel July 29

Vintage Spokane, one of Spokane's largest summer wine and food events, is back this year on Sunday, July 29 and will be held at the Davenport Grand Hotel.

Sip wines from the region's most celebrated wineries and savor delicious local bites. Discover new favorite wines, and you'll have an opportunity to purchase wines by the bottle at the on-site Wine Store. The proceeds will benefit Spokane Youth Sports Association.

NAC Architecture adds staff

Jason Herbst has joined NAC as a Technical Training Specialist. Jason comes to NAC with over 18 years of teaching/training experience at Spokane Community College and AutoCAD consulting firms, most recently, Initial AEC.

Prachi Parkar joins NAC as an Interior Designer and recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design. She is currently working on Lince Kindergarten in Selah, Washington and elementary school additions for Eastmont School District in East Wenatchee.

Jourdan Holubasch is an Electrical Drafter who is currently working on the Riverfront Park Pavilion in Spokane and Cascade High School in Leavenworth. She recently graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Spokane Federal Credit Union announces new President/CEO

Spokane Federal Credit Union announced it has selected current Executive Vice President, Charlotte Nemec, to become its new President and CEO effective July 1, 2018. Nemec received her degree at Eastern Washington University. Soon after, Nemec accepted a position as the Human Resource Specialist to serve the HR needs of four local credit unions including Spokane Federal Credit Union. She led Spokane Federal's HR team for ten years before being promoted to VP of Administration in 2004.
