Provisional Recruiting + Staffing Services Wins Place on 2011 Best of Staffing List

Provisional Recruiting + Staffing, a locally owned and operated firm, has been named to Inavero's "2011 Best of Staffing Client"™ list. Best of Staffing, presented in partnership with CareerBuilder, is the nation's only satisfaction award that recognizes exceptional client service with the staffing industry. "Biggest Loser" winner coming to Spokane Club

Ali Vincent is living proof that we become what we believe is possible. The first female to be named The Biggest Loser on the popular reality TV show of the same name, Vincent's journey of transformation is inspirational for all of us--whether our goal is to shave a little time off our Bloomsday race or shave inches off our waistlines for good. Vincent is bringing her inspiring message to the Spokane Club on March 10 at 6pm. The event is open to the public; tickets are $ 25. Call 838-8511 to purchase.

One of the key pieces of Vincent's transformation is learning the power of setting goals. "There is no pre-set destination for the rest of your life," she says. "If you want to make progress in anything, you have to set goals. Make them challenging and face the fear. Your commitment, follow-through and consistency will get you there."

While Vincent is a strong advocate for healthy, balanced eating, she's not big on dieting. "There are no new truths in dieting," she says. "There has to be something in you, a truth in you that drives you forward." Vincent's truth led her to The Biggest Loser competition, where she lost 122 pounds and gained a world of health and new opportunities.

Imagine what you can do when you discover and act on your own truth. It's powerful and it's yours to explore on March 10, 6pm at the Spokane Club. Call 838-8511 to reserve your tickets. Seating is limited, so call today.

Gentlemen start your engines

On the first weekend of June 2011, the high-pitched whine of Ferrari, Porsche, Alfa Romeo and Lotus race cars will mix with the low rumble of Corvettes, Ford Cobras, Chevrolet Camaros and Ford Mustangs as the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN) holds the first annual "Spokane Festival of Speed" at Spokane County Raceway. More than 150 vintage sports cars, sedans, and formula racing cars of the 1950s, '60s and '70s are expected to travel from all over the Pacific Northwest to compete in three days of racing on the long straights and tight hairpin corners of the 2.25-mile road course.

Racing enthusiasts Bill Simer, Jim Sullivan, Bruce Hunt, Jim Sloane and Paul Jaremko are the local organizers for this SOVREN event; Jaremko Nissan and other local businesses are providing sponsorship and support to cover event expenses. Sanctioning for this first-ever vintage race car event in Spokane was made possible, in part, by the recent revisions and safety improvements made to the race track by Spokane County. These revisions to the road course make the racing facility a much more attractive venue for the rare and expensive vintage race cars that compete in the SOVREN racing series, as well as making the facility safer for participants and spectators. All spectator admissions from the race will benefit the Parkinson's Resource Center of Spokane (the PRC), a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization that offers a unique and comprehensive menu of free services to Inland Northwest PD clients and their family members, caregivers and friends who support them. The vision of founder Ed Ewell, diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1999, and his wife Jacquie has come to fruition with the PRC and its mission: "Serving to enhance the quality of life of people affected by Parkinson's disease through empowerment, education and awareness."

For more information about the PRC, visit the website www.SpokaneParkinsons.org or Facebook page, follow along on Twitter, or phone the office at 509-473-2490. For more information about the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN), visit www.sovren.org.
