The Inland Northwest Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-NW) will host their Entrepreneurial Program Series with featured speakers Marsha Rooney and Rose Krause, "Women's Voices, Women's Votes: Celebrating Women's History Month," March 10, at The Lincoln Center.

Marsha Rooney, Senior Curator of History, and Rose KrauseJohnston-Fix Curator of Special Collections, from the MAC, will show highlights and share insights from "Women's Voices, Women's Votes", the current grant-funded exhibit that celebrates the invaluable contributions of women in Washington's history; March 10, 2011; 5:00 - 8:30 pm; The Lincoln Center.

Although some women were still excluded, most Washington women won the right to vote in 1910. As the fifth state in the union to enact such legislation, Washington's action was pivotal in revitalizing the national women's suffrage movement, which in 1920 ensured women's voting rights nationwide. Women have used this suffrage as a springboard to achieve a voice in many aspects of public life up to the present.

Complimentary workshop on major financial reporting changes for construction companies

LarsonAllen CPAs, Consultants & Advisors and Wells Fargo Insurance are hosting a complimentary workshop on upcoming major financial reporting changes, what they mean for construction business operations, and how they can prepare for them. A comprehensive tax update will also be provided at the workshop, which will be held Tuesday, March 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the Lincoln Center in Spokane. Breakfast will be provided. There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited. RSVP by March 17 to 624-4615 or cavery@larsonallen.com.
