Time for Girl Scout Cookies!

— Girl Scouts throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho will soon be selling Girl Scout cookies throughout the council region. All eight varieties of Girl Scout cookies are still just $4 per box. Cookie preorders will begin February 10. Cookies from preorders will be delivered after March 23. Cookie sales outside of local businesses and stores will be available March 23 through April 15. Find the nearest cookies with the Cookie Locator app found at www.gscookiebiz.com.

The annual Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the country and generates immeasurable benefits for girls, their Girl Scout councils and communities. Girls set cookie goals to support their chosen activities for the year, to fund community service and leadership projects, attend summer camp, buy things in the Girl Scout store, travel to destinations near and far and provide events for girls in their community.

This is the Centennial year for Girls Scouts and several events are scheduled throughout the year and 2012 has been declared the 'Year of the Girl'. Girl Scouts Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho serves nearly 8,000 girls and 2,600 adult volunteers in a region encompassing 20 counties in central and eastern Washington and 10 counties in northern Idaho. For more information about the council and the many ways to be involved with Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho visit www.gsewni.org.
