Community being asked to Spare A Square!

— When toilet paper is available to food bank clients, the supply doesn't last long. The needed hygiene product cannot be purchased with food stamps and many agencies are only able to supply families with two rolls a month. Northwest Harvest, Project Beauty Share, KXLY & Albertsons are teaming up to help neighbors in need in the Greater Spokane Area. During the 3rd Annual Toilet Paper Drive on Sept. 28-29, organizers hope to collect 25,000 rolls for food banks and meals programs in Eastern Washington.

The two-day event will be broadcast by media partner KXLY. Toilet paper donations can be dropped off between 7am to 7pm on Friday, Sept 28 and 9am to 12pm on Saturday, Sept 29 at the following locations:

Downtown Spokane: The Make-Up Studio at 216 North Bernard Street (Friday only)
North Spokane: Albertsons at (Hwy 395 & Hastings) 12312 N. Division
North Spokane: Albertsons at 6520 N. Nevada
South Spokane: Albertsons at 3010 E. 57th Ave
Spokane Valley: Albertsons (Argonne) 8851 E Trent Ave
Spokane Valley: Tracy Jewelers at 106 N Evergreen Rd

People who aren't able to donate in person can text KXLY4TP to 80888 to donate $10 worth of toilet paper to the drive. To see the roll count throughout the drive, follow @NWHarvest and #TPDrive.

The mission of Northwest Harvest is to provide nutritious food to hungry people statewide in a manner that respects their dignity, while fighting to eliminate hunger. Their vision is that ample nutritious food is available to everyone in Washington state. For more information, visit www.projectbeautyshare.org.
