Spokane's 'Essential Guide' second edition due in May

The guidebook is designed for local residents and tourists and has been published in Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico for the past twenty-six years. In March 2012, they published a guidebook for Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. The guidebook for Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, and Walla Walla, with distribution of about 100,000 copies, became available in May 2012.

Advertising sales are underway the second edition of the Northwest guidebook, which may be expanding to include Sandpoint, Idaho. This year's guidebook will be available on May 1. Copies of the Essential Guide are free to customers, and the artists, galleries, wineries, restaurants, businesses, and specialty shops to distribute. Those who place an ad in the guidebook receive a quantity of the books upon request. The Davenport Hotel has given over 6,000 copies to guests since May 2012. The books are also distributed through local tourist bureaus in each community.
