Valley Chamber Announces Awards of Excellence Finalists

— The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce announces the finalists for the 2012 Awards of Excellence. The program recognizes business and community achievements. The finalists for the following categories are:

Two additional categories to be announced are Educator of the Year from the school districts served by the Chamber and the Chamber Ambassador of the Year.

All award winners will be announced and awards given at the Annual Gem of the Valley Awards Gala on Saturday, January 26 at the Mirabeau Park Hotel in Spokane Valley. The Gala, hosted by Skip Bonuccelli, will feature entertainment, a gourmet dinner and silent auction as well as a video presentation of award candidates.

During the evening's program, a special lifetime achievement award will be given to the family of Dick Behm, recognizing his service to the community. A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 2012 Harry E. Nelson Citizen of the Year Award to Bill Gothmann, community leader and former City Councilman for the City of Spokane Valley.
