Children’s Hospital reopens sibling clubhouse with help from Spokane Realtors.

— Sacred Heart Children's Hospital has reopened the Children's Clubhouse, a free service for children whose family members are hospitalized or attending appointments on the Sacred Heart campus. The reopening is made possible by members of the Spokane Association of Realtors™ who volunteer their time to facilitate the Clubhouse services. Unfortunately, the free program closed in 2009 when the hospital had to make difficult staffing reductions but is available again, and still free to families, thanks to the generosity of the Spokane Realtors™." The Children's Clubhouse is available for children ages 3 and above who are potty trained. Initially, the Clubhouse will open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Children are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and receive matching ID bands with their parents for security purposes. Clubhouse visitors enjoy movies, art projects, snacks, games and rest time, in the company of the realtors who have undergone screening and completed training, as with other volunteers at the hospital. For more information about this or other Sacred Heart Children's Hospital programs call 509-474-2800.
