A spicy shop in Spokane Valley

Spice Traders Mercantile has more spices than most people have ever seen, over 120 different ground to order spices and blends that they order in small batches from purveyors around the world. Owned by Bill Coyle and Jan Love, this unique shop also offers 10 First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oils and 28 Twenty-five Star Balsamic Vinegars as well as 80 loose teas.

The shop is celebrating two years this month, they opened on 11-11-11 and business has been growing ever since. Spice Traders Mercantile's location is at 15614 East Sprague, on the south side of the street just east of Sullivan. It's adjacent to the couple's other business, Plant Land, a nursery and garden center that's been operating for 15 years. They are in the process of adding an additional 1,000 square feet to the spice shop to accommodate events and eventually cooking classes. They currently offer wine and beer tastings.

You can learn more at their website SpiceTradersMercantile.com or on facebook. The phone number is 509-315-4036.
