Pitch for the Cure this Saturday

— The Spokane Indians announces that Pitch for the Cure Breast Cancer Walk benefiting the Eastern Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the CureĀ® will take place this Saturday, July 17th at Avista Stadium. Starting at approximately 6:00 pm, this one-mile walk begins on the Hall of Fame Plaza and ends with each participant parading onto the field before the game. Breast cancer survivors will be recognized before the game with one representative throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. In addition to the walk, all Indians players will be wearing special pink uniforms and using pink baseball bats, which will be auctioned off during the game in a silent auction. The cost is $25 ($20 for kids 12 and under) and includes a Pitch for the Cure t-shirt, a $10 donation to Susan G. Komen Foundation and a ticket to the Indians game that night against the Vancouver Canadians. Register at www.spokaneindiansbaseball.com or Active.com, or call the Spokane Indians business office at 509-535-2922.
