YWCA of Spokane and 'She's The First' Co-host Free Screening of 'Girl Rising'

— On Thursday, March 6th at 7pm, Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Spokane and 'She's The First' Gonzaga University chapter will co-host a free screening of 'Girl Rising' at the Bing Crosby Theatre in downtown Spokane with sponsorship support from Charles Schwab & Co, Inc.

From Academy Award-nominated director Richard E. Robbins in association with Paul Allen's Vulcan Productions, this documentary highlights the lives of brave and unforgettable women that have risen from their communities to become role models for girls all around the world.

Donations are greatly appreciated in support of the YWCA and 'She's The First' cause. Following the screening of 'Girl Rising', there will be an open a forum to discuss the problems and injustices that afflict women around the world.

'Girl Rising' is an impactful film that raises awareness to women's injustices. By hosting a screening, the YWCA and 'She's The First' along with the Girl Rising Campaign hope to fuel the movement and bring a call to action. They hope to use their voices to help create change, spread a meaningful message, and to gain support for policies advocating girls education. For more information regarding the film and how to fuel the movement, visit www.girlrising.com.
