Marketing Associates June meeting features advertising panel

— MAS hosts an 'Advertising 101 for A/E/C Firms' (architect-engineering, construction) Panel, Thursday, June 12, 11:30 am - 1:00pm at the Lincoln Center: 1316 N. Lincoln. The three panelists are industry experts who will discuss the hows, whys, dos, and don'ts when designing and determining where to advertise as it relates to the A/E/C industry. They will also be sharing the results of a real ad campaign in our industry. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to hear from these local panelists, including:

Chris Nordfors with GeoEngineers, Inc.: Chris is the Principal and Director of Marketing and Communications for GeoEngineers. He has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, both as a consultant and leading in-house teams. He joined GeoEngineers in 2006 and oversees corporate messaging, brand strategy and communications programs across multiple geographic regions and technical specialties. Chris' team of eight staff guides marketing activities that leverage a range of media, including print, web, social, public relations, professional events and competitive proposals. Prior to GeoEngineers, Chris worked for 13 years as director of marketing at Seattle University and had his own brand consulting firm, North River Strategies. He received a BA in history from Whitman College and MBA from Seattle University.

Rick Hosmer with Klundt Hosmer: Rick Hosmer is the Principal and Creative Director of Klundt Hosmer, a 13-person visual communication firm in Spokane. Rick has directed the creative strategy and writing for thousands of corporate branding and marketing projects, including brand identity, website development and sales material work for A/E/C firms. In the past 27 years, Klundt Hosmer has won nearly 500 awards for their work has been featured in PRINT Magazine and the American Corporate Identity book series. His professional focus is on developing visual design that changes perceptions and consumer actions.

Frank Swoboda with Corner Booth Media: Frank Swoboda is a writer, director, producer and media consultant, from feature films, television commercials and on-line videos to rich media strategies. Frank is President of Corner Booth Media, a boutique consultancy that elevates brands and products with creative solutions using video as a foundation. Frank wrote and produced 'The Basket,' Movie Guide's 2000 Family Film of the Year. An accomplished commercial director, his award shelf includes a National Addy and a Show West Best of Show. Frank collaborates with mid and enterprise level marketing teams in healthcare, financial services, higher education and A/E/C, integrating new media and video alongside traditional forms of marketing for firms like Coffman Engineers and MWH Global, for whom Frank recently created a worldwide strategic video marketing plan and audit.
