Monique's Salon certified as an apprenticeship salon

— Monique's Salon in Spokane Valley recently received approval to be part of the Washington State Cosmetology Apprenticeship Program. The innovative program allows an entrant without a state cosmetology license to receive on the job training as an employee with pay and benefits in an approved salon or spa environment while fulfilling the state educational requirements for licensing. Currently Monique's Salon has one participant in the WSCAP program and is currently accepting additional applicants for the program. There are 13 salons that participate in the program in Washington State and Monique's Salon is the only salon in Eastern Washington.
