Spokane Housing Ventures announces new Executive Director

The largest nonprofit provider of affordable housing in Spokane and Lincoln Counties has a new executive director. Spokane Housing Ventures announced today that Fred Peck has replaced longtime director Jayne Auld, who announced her retirement this April.

Peck has served as Spokane Housing Venture's Chief Financial Officer for the past five years. He took over the new position August 1. Peck is a CPA, holds a Master's Degree in Accounting and Financial Management and has served on a number of civic and professional boards. Spokane Housing Ventures owns and manages 21 properties and 895 housing units throughout the two counties. Their units are at 97 percent occupancy and provide homes for more than 2,000 people. A key goal is to minimize homelessness as much as possible. The impact of keeping people off the street can mean the difference between life and death.

Peck will work with a team of 38 people who work in the Spokane-based offices on 715 East Sprague Ave. and at the sites.
