It's called GRAND for a reason! What a hotel!

Last Thursday evening I had the opportunity to tour the construction site of the Grand Spokane Hotel led by Walt Worthy. All I can say is WOW! It is going to be like nothing we have ever seen in Spokane!

Grand Spokane Hotel is 17 stories with 716 rooms and suites, and every bed in the hotel is king size. There will be 3 restaurants and a coffee shop. There is about 70,000 square feet of banquet space including an 18,000 square foot ball room. The hotel has an outdoor meeting area overlooking the INB and Riverfront Park. There will be over 900 parking spaces with over 600 open to the public. All four of the hotels are a member of Marriott's Autograph Collection, but will be managed by the Davenport team.

The massive building has about 40 million pounds of concrete including 4500 pieces of precast from Central-Oldcastle. They will set the last piece today and the plan is to get the roof completed this next week.
