Integrus Architecture to design new U.S. Embassy Campus in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan

— The United States Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) recently announced the design-build award for a New U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Caddell Construction Company of Montgomery, Alabama and the architect of record, Integrus Architecture, of Spokane, Washington. Yost Grube Hall of Portland, Oregon, prepared the concept design. Ashgabat is the capital of Turkmenistan and is located in Central Asia.

This project will provide safe, secure, and modern facilities for embassy employees. The new campus will be situated on the site of the existing residential compound located within the municipal limits of Ashgabat and will include a chancery, a U.S. Marine Corps residence, staff housing, a warehouse, maintenance shops, a utility building, parking, and community facilities, as well as a new street to meet city standards.

OBO's mission is to provide safe, secure, and functional facilities that represent the U.S. Government to the host nation and support their staff in the achievement of U.S. foreign policy objectives. These facilities represent American values and the best in American architecture, engineering, technology, sustainability, art, culture, and construction execution.
