Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop, River Park Square tomorrow

It's that time of the year again! Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop at River Park Square will host Free Cone Day tomorrow, April 14 from 12-8pm to benefit Kevin Parker's Embrace Washington. The annual celebration is a way for the company to celebrate and say thank you for another year of support.

Stop by the Scoop Shop, located on the 3rd level of River Park Square and have local guest celebrities serve you a free cone! This year's guest scoopers include Robyn Nance, Stephanie Vigil, Jane McCarthy, Nadine Woodward, Leslie Lowe, Dave Sposito, Ken Hopkins, and more.

"Free Cone Day is one of the most exciting days at Ben & Jerry's," said Kari Conner, owner of the Spokane scoop shop. "Every year we're amazed at the number of people that come out to Free Cone Day and to be able to show our appreciation for the fans in a tangible way is really special."

This year, Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day will be taking donations to benefit Embrace Washington. "We selected Embrace Washington this year because there is a crisis shortage of licensed foster homes in our state," said, Conner, "We want foster parents to feel valued, social workers to feel supported and all children to feel wanted." For more information on Embrace Washington, visit www.embracewashington.org.
