SFCC graphic design students medal at American Advertising Federation Awards

— Spokane Falls Community College students won big at the Inland Northwest ADDY Awards competition held on March 5 at the Davenport Grand Hotel. SFCC graphic design students captured 24 of the 34 awards given out to students.

Tyler Hawotte won a Gold ADDY and Best in Show for the student division. Gold awards also went to Terri Porter, Johnny Bruzas, Corri Skillingstad, Ashley Marlow, Christian Davenny, Suzanne Lindholm, Sophia Macdonald, Sarah Kleyn, Jeremy King and Ryan Green. Silver awards were claimed by Kristine Campos, Bryan Clark, Tyler Hawotte, Johnny Bruzas (three silver awards), Hailey Zwanzig, Terri Porter (two silver awards), Ashley Marlow, Christian Davenny, Trina Stout and Nate Lewis.

Additionally, three students won the 2016 Toni M. Robideaux scholarship. Aaron Green, Ashley Marlow and Jacquelyn Barnes were recognized for student achievement and excellence in advertising arts receiving $1,000 each. The Inland Northwest ADDY Awards Competition is the first level of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). More than 100 awards were handed out to the best advertising work in the Inland Northwest.
