Dr. Jarrod Carter winner of the 'Most Innovative Company' award

— Dr. Jarrod Carter and his company Origin Forensics, formerly Origin Engineering, based in Liberty Lake, won recognition in the 'Most Innovative Company' category for The Business Excellence Forums and Awards in Houston, Texas, on February 20.

Dr. Jarrod Carter was a finalist in the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' category. His company Winner of the 'Most Innovative Company' Award, was also a finalist in the 'Best Customer Service', 'Best Service Based' categories. The Business Excellence Forums and Awards received over 400 nominations. The Business Excellence Awards was created to recognize the 'Best of the Best' in the small-and-medium sized business (SMB) sector, the awards ceremony honors the achievements and accomplishments of owners in industries and categories from around the world.

At the University of Washington, Jarrod engaged in research focused on catastrophic cervical spine (neck) trauma. His chosen specialty stemmed from his experience in automotive accident reconstruction where he studied crashes that all too often produced paralyzing, or fatal, neck injuries. In February of 2002, he earned his Doctorate of Philosophy in Bioengineering. On July 1, 2003 he formed Origin Engineering LLC, a consulting firm specializing in automotive accident reconstruction and biomechanical injury analysis. At the end of 2015 the business name was changed to Origin Forensics to more accurately reflect the business specialization.

Spokane Home & Yard Show Coming Feb 23-26

The 39th Annual Spokane Home and Yard Show is coming to the Spokane Fair & Expo Center, this Thursday, February 23 and runs through Sunday, February 26. This year's show features over 225 exhibits, with hundreds of home improvement products and services. Explore landscape displays created by Spokane's premier landscapers. Thursday is 2 for 1 day, two adult admissions for the price of one.
