Third Annual Citizen Hall of Fame Finalists Announced

— The Spokane Public Library Foundation, in partnership with the City of Spokane and Spokane Public Library, announces the 3rd Annual Citizen Hall of Fame finalists. There are three finalists in six different categories chosen from more than 140 public nominations. At the event on May 2, one winner will be chosen in each category to be inducted into Spokane Citizen's Hall of Fame. Here are the finalists and their categories:

Arts and Letters
David Dutton, Lupito Flores, Moritz Kundig

Tom Armitage, Randy James, Luisa Orellana

Economic Development and Business
Dave Clack, Betsy Cowles, Tim Welsh

Innovation and Leadership
Lewis Lee, Paul Redmond, Tom Simpson

Public Service and Philanthropy Philanthropy
Lindy Cater, Pastor Alan Eschenbacher, Jim Sheehan

Science Health and Medicine
Dr. Deb Harper, Dr. Darryl Potyk, Dr. George Schneider

In the upcoming weeks, the library foundation will also announce the historic hall of fame winners whom will be honored at the event along with the first recipient of the Elson S. Floyd Community Impact Award.

The Spokane Citizen Hall of Fame recognizes individuals in the City of Spokane for their achievement in one of six categories while providing an opportunity to raise funds for the Spokane Public Library.
