Excelsior Youth Center opens 'Threads'

— Excelsior announces the recent addition of 'Threads' to their facility. Threads is a newly designed clothing room for the youth inside Excelsior and for foster youth in our community. Threads was a collaboration with the management and staff at the J.C. Penny's Northtown Store and the staff at Excelsior.

In a statement made by Excelsior CEO Andrew Hill, "Many of our clients come to Excelsior with all that they own in a black garbage bag. This in no way represents who they are." Devin Codd, General Manager of the Northtown J.C. Penny and his staff, have taken all the existing donated clothes, washed them, and provided both hangers and racks to place them on.

Things especially needed include: male items, sweat pants, sweat shirts, large size clothing. Clothing donations can be dropped at Excelsior Youth Center, 3754 W Indian Trail Rd, call 509-328-7041 for more information.
