Victor Azar is Mr. Hummus.

In addition to operating the Cafe MAC restaurant at the museum and running D'Zaar Catering, Victor Azar is selling three flavors of his fresh, handcrafted organic hummus in selected stores. Fresh Basil, Toasted Sesame and Jalapeno Hummus, (some of the best hummus you have ever eaten) are available at Cafe MAC, Rosauers at Browne's Addition and 5 Mile, Huckleberries on south Monroe, Main Market Coop, Rocket Market on 43rd, Fresh Abundance on Division and One World Spokane.

The main ingredient in Victor's hummus is organic garbanzo beans; Victor also adds sesame tahini, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice garlic powder, spices, sea salt, citric acid and flavors like fresh basil, toasted sesame and pickled jalapeno. New flavors are in development and can be taste tested at the MAC Cafe.

The MAC Cafe is at the Museum of Arts and Culture, West 2316 First, is open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 11am to 4pm. You can get more information at www.victorshummus.com or by calling509-768-3940. Victor's email is victor@dzaar.com.
