Spokane business woman Pat Ebel Johnson passes away

Patricia Johnson Ebel, who along with her late husband Glenn Johnson, founded and operated several well-known Spokane companies, passed away Sunday, October 6 at Hospice House in Spokane after a lengthy illness. She was born April 13, 1937 in Spokane to Darrell and Jeanette Castleman.

Patricia and Glenn started Spokane Punchboard in 1972, Party Palace in 1988 and Spokane Pulltab Company in 1992. She continued to run Spokane Pulltab Company after Glenn's passing in 1993, until she retired in 2003 and sold the business to son Scott Johnson. She sold Party Palace to daughter Michelle Duncan in 2012.

Patricia was a hard working business woman all her life but was fortunate to travel often to Mexico, Hawaii, Las Vegas and Reno. She was full of love and generosity, and she had a wonderful sense of humor. She is at peace now after many years of illness and is smiling down on us with a big glass of Chardonnay. Cheers Patricia, to a life well lived!

In lieu flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Spokane, 121 S. Arthur St., Spokane, WA, 99202.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, October 13 at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 7200 N. Wall St. in Spokane.
