2019 Spokane Citizen Hall of Fame Honorees Announced

— The Spokane Public Library Foundation, in partnership with the City of Spokane and Spokane Public Library, is announcing the 2019 Spokane Citizen Hall of Fame honorees. The honorees in six different categories were chosen from more than 150 public nominations and will be celebrated at a May 1 breakfast with one honoree in each category being inducted into the Spokane Citizen Hall of Fame. That announcement will be made at the breakfast.

Arts and Letters
Mike Kobluk, Chad Mitchell Trio, former director of Performing and Visual Arts for Expo 1974 and former Director of Entertainment Facilities for the City of Spokane

At the event on May 1st, these honorees will be recognized by Mayor David Condon and Council President Ben Stuckart for the work that they've done in the community. Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased online at www.spokanelibraryfoundation.org. The Spokane Citizen Hall of Fame recognizes individuals in the City of Spokane for their achievement in six categories while raising funds for the Spokane Public Library Foundation in support of the library.

Registration is open for Vanessa Behan Benefit Luncheon June 4



Vanessa's Promise Benefit Luncheon is now open for registration. The event will be on Tuesday, June 4 at the Davenport Grand Hotel, from noon-1pm, doors opn at 11:15am. The lunch is free to attend, but there will be an opportunity to support the Nursery during the lunch. The cost of the luncheon will be covered by generous sponsors, so every dollar raised at the event will go directly to supporting the mission of the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.
