"Nearly every type of asset can be contributed to the Leadership Spokane Foundation," noted PJ Watters, INWCF Director of Gift Planning, Leadership Spokane Class of 1994. "Donors may give cash, real estate, stock, retirement funds, or other appreciated assets. We can work with donors to put a bequest in their wills, to design their gift plans and maximize the benefits they receive, as well as leverage the impact of their philanthropic dollars."

The fund principle is permanently restricted, which means that gifts will continue to provide for Leadership Spokane's future. The organization will receive annual distributions from interest earnings. Each year, a committee of Leadership Spokane alumni will allocate the distribution for scholarships for incoming students or for equipment or other needs.

Leadership Spokane creates foundation

"The Foundation is a means for Leadership Spokane graduates and supporters to continue their legacy of leadership into the future, through planned giving," explained Linda Finney, Leadership Spokane Executive Director.
