Shopping at River Park Square just got sweeter.

Gourmet chocolate and confectionery products manufacturer and retailer Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has opened a River Park Square location on the main level near the concierge desk where Godiva Chocolates used to be.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Spokane features over 300 varieties of hand made chocolates and confections. Made from only the finest ingredients and the best cocoa blends, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory chocolate has been rated top chocolate for its "rich, intense flavor." It is from Guittard Chocolate Company, a 130 year old business in San Francisco.

"Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory's premium treats are a nice addition to the specialty lineup at our urban shopping, dining and entertainment center," said Bob Smith, chief operating officer for River Park Square.

Spokane natives Aaron and Rachelle Blackmer, along with Aaron's parents, Bruce and Candice Blackmer, currently own the Spokane franchise and a second location in Spokane Valley. "We are thrilled to expand into downtown Spokane to offer our handmade, award-winning chocolates, confections, gourmet caramel apples and dipped fruit," said Rachelle Blackmer, president of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Spokane. "Our exquisite confectionery products and the unique shopping experience provided by River Park Square is a perfect pairing." Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is an international franchiser headquartered in Durango, Colo.

Spokane's other Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store is located at Sullivan Retail Center in Veradale, 506 N. Sullivan Road, Suite E. The website is rmcf.com/WA/SpokaneValley50795.
